Knit Beyond Basics - Sophie Scarf
Go beyond the knitting basics while you make the oh-so-sweet Sophie Scarf!COST:
$115.00SCHEDULE:
Tuesdays 2/11 & 2/18 | 6:30PM-9:00PM
Join us and go beyond the basics of Knitting (we recommend our Community Knit Basics if you need a refresher or to learn those knit basics)! The Sophie Scarf by PetiteKnit is worked back and forth in one piece, from tip to tip in garter stitch with lovely built-in i-cord edges giving it a really sweet finished look. We will be working together on the smaller size (31" long) and learning how to increase, decrease, and slip stitches along the way. This is a beautiful, simple project that will take your basic knitting skills to the next level. This is such a fun pattern; once you make one Sophie Scarf you will wanna make another and another and another!
Skills + Materials
This is an beginner+/intermediate workshop. Students should have basic knitting skills (cast-on, knit, purl, bind-off). This is a project-based workshop (we will be completing the Sophie Scarf together). The pattern is included in your workshop fee; rest assured that designers are always compensated for every pattern used in Wild Hand workshops. Students should plan to bring 100g of DK weight yarn, US4 (3.5mm) 24" circular knitting needles, and a counter (there are apps you can use or something like the Cocoknits Row & Stitch Counter is great). We recommend Manos del Uruguay Marla or Sami, Ritual Dyes Priestess, The Wandering Flock DK, or Rosa Pomar Vovó for your yarn.
