Woven Mending

Learn how to use a darning loom to repair or adorn your clothing with woven patches!

COST:

$85.00

SCHEDULE:

Thursday 9/12 | 6:30PM-9:00PM

Learn how to use a darning loom (and take home your own lovely wooden Katrinkles darning loom for future projects!). In this workshop you will learn how to plan your mending project, prep the darning loom, weave, and finish your repair. Yolanda will share tips and tricks for fun, successful darning. Darning looms are great for repairing holes in garments, bags, or homegoods like jeans, canvas tote bags, and handknit or crocheted sweaters and socks. The possibilities really are endless with this fun, easy-to-use tool.

Skills + Materials
This is a beginner workshop - no previous experience needed! Your workshop fee includes all of the darning/mending supplies needed for the class, including a Katrinkles Darning Loom to take home and lots of yarn. Please bring a garment you would like to mend - jeans, sweaters, socks, and heavier cotton/canvas shirts or jackets are super for this.
