Wild Hand Shopping w/ Jessie Mae & Park
Jessie Mae (Jessie Maed Designs) and Park (Park & Knit), two knitwear designers and best friends, are coming to Wild Hand!! We couldn't be happier to welcome this dream duo to Philadelphia for the weekend (check out the other fun events we have planned with them here!).
Saturday afternoon 11/14 from 2PM-6PM Jessie Mae & Park will be hanging out at Wild Hand sharing suggestions about their favorite yarns, notions, accessories, and projects! They will curate some shop favorites and be available to meet and greet and be a part of your Wild Hand afternoon. This is a FREE event and space will be first-come-first-serve. Similar to the Philly Yarn Crawl, we will manage the number of folks in the shop at a time and keep the line moving too. You can register here (it's not required, you can also just show up) to help us get a sense for how many people to expect and also you'll get reminders before the event ... who doesn't want a reminder ;)
Jessie Mae Martinson (Jessie Maed)
Jessie Mae Martinson Chicago-based knitwear designer & artist. She began writing patterns by necessity in 2018 when she couldn't find designs in her style available in her size. She has since released over 65 patterns as Jessie Maed Designs including garments and accessories. She prioritizes an inclusionary community in her work, writing beginner friendly, approachable patterns available in a size-inclusive range and a choose what you pay pricing model to increase financial accessibility. Jessie is Filipino and Ojibwe and grew up on the Lac Courte Oreilles (Odaawaa-zaaga'iganiing)Reservation in the northwoods of Wisconsin, where she is an enrolled member. Park Williams
Park Williams is an Idaho-raised, Chicago-based knitwear designer, theatre maker & cozy life lover. Interested in sparking curiosity & encouraging play, Park’s goal as a designer is to create patterns which offer knitters both the freedom and framework to make something entirely their own. Her work can be found on Instagram (@parknknit), Ravelry (parkandknit) or parknknit.com.
