Shop Manos del Uruguay yarns straight from the warehouse of Fairmount Fibers, the US distributor and our Philly fiber friends in South Philly. This is a really special event that happens just once a year and we are delighted to partner-up again with the team at Fairmount Fibers to help open the warehouse to y'all (usually it is not open to the public).

This is a one-day event and you can register (it's FREE) to join us at the warehouse!! Registration is just a way for us to get in touch with you if there are any changes to the event details and with a reminder the day before. You can except OOAK (one-of-a-kind) skeins, discontinued and seconds, and some bulk discounts on large bundles (usually 5-10 skeins/bundle), as well as access to all the quantities and color ways of all the Manos del Uruguay yarns in one dreamy big yarn-filled warehouse. There is off-street parking in a lot at the warehouse and if that's filled you can park across Wharton in the Dollar Tree parking lot or on the street. For folks that came to this event with us last time you may recall longer line waits due to the check-out system. There have been updates made to the checkout process and we anticipate moving folks through much faster than a few years ago. Please keep in mind that only credit cards (no cash) will be processed at the event

The Manos Cooperatives were founded in 1968, begun by five women whose goal was to develop economic opportunities for women in a country where there were, and are still, few opportunities for work. The Manos Cooperatives provide health insurance, retirement pensions, paid vacations and paid maternity leave for their members. Moreover, members enjoy a sense of achievement and of self-determination. Manos del Uruguay has been a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) since 2009.
