Kromski Lazy Kates are shipped directly from Kromski's Georgia-based warehouse (to you or to us!) ~ see more details below on availability and shipping expectations.
The Kromski tensioned Lazy Kate's holds up to three bobbins (accommodates 3 regular bobbins or 2 jumbo bobbins). There are two styles - arched and vertical. A must-have accessory if you will be plying your handspun yarns; a Lazy Kate is really the best way to hold the bobbins while plying. Both of the Kromski Lazy Kate's will allow you to hold and ply with up to three bobbins (3ply) at a time. You can always add an additional Lazy Kate (or most wheels have a built-in Lazy Kate too!) to go above a 3ply.
Both the arched and traditional/vertical Lazy Kate's form Kromski include the ability to brake the bobbins to prevent bobbin over run and both brake systems utilize a spring for perfect control. The steel bobbin support rods are strong and have a bent over end to stop them wandering out of the holes while you ply. Both styles come in four finishes.
Fun fact! Kromski Lazy Kate's work well with many other popular brands such as Ashford Wheels and Looms (standard) bobbins among others.
Kromski equipment that we do not keep in-stock in-shop ships to the Wild Hand shop for Local Pick-up (FREE) or directly to your home for a shipping rate determined based on your location and order size. While Kromski is indeed based in Poland, US orders are shipped from Georgia and it generally takes less than one week to arrive from the time your order is fulfilled. Not all Kromski products are in-stock at all times; you may contact the shop for the most up-to-date estimated shipping date before placing your order and/or we will contact you after you place your order to confirm the ship date based on Kromski's most up-to-date information. If you order other non-Kromski items in the same order those will ship (or be available for pick-up) separately and on our usual shipping schedule.
Please note that Kromski products are excluded from Wild Hand discount.
Based in Poland, Kromski and Sons is a family business. Three generations of Kromski's have worked with wood and learned the craft of wood turning, a skill they have elevated to an art. Kromski makes tools and equipment for weaving and spinning.
