Join us for an eight-week (four-session) crochet sweater workshop with Yolanda! Over the course of eight weeks students will crochet a sweater vest; super for folks embarking on a first or first in awhile sweater project or seasoned makers that love this design and want to work through the pattern in good company. There's something about working through a big project, like a sweater, with a group of fellow makers and a real good teacher ... it brings a whole other layer of support and accountability and joy to the experience.

We adore the first crochet issue from Laine Publishing; Let's Crochet! and each student in the class will get a copy with their workshop fee! Inside this issue is the project pattern; the Block vest by Anne-Michelle Phelan. Block is a timeless crochet top that can be dressed up or down. Crocheted in an extended block stitch, it works up quickly with an easy, rhythmic pattern repeat. The ribbed edges are worked with a ridge detail for a neat look. A standing collar adds a touch of effortless elegance.

Made with DK weight yarn, this project works up quickly and there are oh-so-many yarns to choose from; we will share suggestions in your registration confirmation email with a supply list. This size inclusive pattern includes sizes for finished bust measurements of anywhere from 34" to 66".

Skills + Materials

This is an intermediate workshop; students should be able to make a slip knot, chain, single crochet, half double crochet, increase, and decrease. Yolanda will cover creating the hem, picking up stitches,  as well as joining for shoulders, selecting a size, and of course reading through a crochet pattern. Workshop supplies are not included in the workshop fee; you will need to purchase yarn, needles, and notions for the workshop. Our team will be ready-at-hand to help you select your size and supplies in advance of your workshop (you cna pop-by anytime we are open and we can help you with the supply selection!) so that you are ready to jump right in during session #1.

Cancellation + Make-up Policy
We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your registration. You may always transfer your registration to another student (just let us know in advance!). If you need to cancel your registration within one week of the workshop we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund; cancellations made less than one week in advance will not be refunded. We are unable to offer make-ups or exchanges for missed workshop session(s).

Student Discount
Students get a one-time 10% student discount that is active at the first workshop session and expires two weeks following the final workshop session. You will receive your discount code at the first first session.
