Join us at the shop and learn how to make three brooms; a Cobwebber, Whisk, and Mushroom Cleaner broom!

Do you have ceiling cobwebs? Dust bunnies under the bed? Come on and admit it, we all do! Learn to weave a  Cobwebber Broom to get to those hard-to-reach places. This broom is a great way to learn how to weave a broom with a handle. You will also learn to plait a lovely woven top using broom stalks.

You will start by making a short whisk broom to get the feel of that tying on a broom is like. The top of the small whisk will be separated and can be used as a mushroom scrubber or to get crumbs off the table.

Please note that broom making requires hand and shoulder strength. You will also be encouraged to manipulate what is called the foot treadle (for keeping tension while winding and tying your brooms) with your feet so it is best to remove your shoes for better control. We will be using broom corn to make our brooms, and a variety of colorful nylon cord will be available for you to choose as your accent color.

Skills + Materials
This is a beginner workshop and no previous experience is needed to participate. Workshop supplies are included in the fee and please note, moderate hand strength is required for this class.

Cancellation + Make-up Policy
We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your registration. You may always transfer your registration to another student (just let us know in advance!). If you need to cancel your registration within one week of the workshop we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund; cancellations made less than one week in advance will not be refunded. We are unable to offer make-ups or exchanges for missed workshop session(s).

Student Discount
Students get a one-time 10% student discount that is active at the first workshop session and expires two weeks following the final workshop session. You will receive your discount code at the first first session.
