Join us at the shop and learn how to make a peg basket! In the 18th century the “keeping room” was off the kitchen, a place for family and friends to gather. Storage space was limited so baskets served the purpose of shelves.

No experience is necessary to make this easy basket that can hang from a peg, nail, chair, or doorknob; great basket for beginners. You will learn continuous and start and stop weave, how to make a rounded spoked bottom, lash on a rim, and add a leather handle. The finished basket measurers approximately 6” x 9”.

Skills + Materials
This is a beginner workshop and no previous experience is needed to participate. Workshop supplies are included in the fee and please note, moderate hand strength is required for this class.

Cancellation + Make-up Policy
We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your registration. You may always transfer your registration to another student (just let us know in advance!). If you need to cancel your registration within one week of the workshop we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund; cancellations made less than one week in advance will not be refunded. We are unable to offer make-ups or exchanges for missed workshop session(s).

Student Discount
Students get a one-time 10% student discount that is active at the first workshop session and expires two weeks following the final workshop session. You will receive your discount code at the first first session.
