We adore these stitching kits from Kiriki Press - perfect for gifting or a small bring-along project for yourself. Kits have levels that correspond to the makers' hand embroidery skills and include everything but the hoop and scissors. All Kiriki patterns are screen printed by hand with vibrant, water-based inks right onto the fabric so no tracing or transferring is ever required! Finished dolls measure about 4.5" tall. These sweet D.I.Y. Embroidered Doll Kits are recommended for age 12+ and include:

Bag, Caterpillar, and Pig are a Level 1 pattern, featuring basic stitches used sparingly.

Alligator, Horned Owl, Pigeon, and Tabby Cat are a Level 2 pattern, using basic and intermediate stitches.

Barn Owl, Wolf, and Sheep are a Level 3 pattern, using a variety of stitches that cover up most of the pattern surface.

A printmaking graduate from the Ontario College of Art and Design, Michelle Galletta started Kiriki Press after she wanted to make her niece an embroidered doll but couldn't find a pattern anywhere.
