Intarsia Knit Khối Hat

Learn the basics of Intarsia colorwork colorwork knitting in this intermediate knitting workshop!

COST:

$125.00

SCHEDULE:

Tuesdays 10/15 & 10/22 | 6:30PM-9:00PM

If you ever wanted to learn how to do Intarsia colorwork knitting, join us in this 2-part project-driven workshop! Together, we will work on the Khối Hat designed by Wild Hand friend and knitwear designer, Serena Qiu of Ozuko. We’ll play with colors while discussing the basics of working with multiple yarns at the same time, yarn management (because no one likes tangles), and how to maintain good tension in your knitting. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a basic understanding of the intarsia knitting and a beautiful hat-in-progress (or maybe finished!) to show off. This workshop is great for ambitious beginners to intermediate knitters!

Students will bring their own main color yarn and knitting needles to achieve the pattern gauge; details will be in the registration confirmation email and below. Wild Hand will supply a fun variety of contrast color options as well as the pattern; rest assured all designers are paid for each student/pattern used in our workshop.

Skills + Materials
This is an intermediate workshop and basic knitting skills are needed to have a good time (cast-on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, bind-off). Students need to bring 100g of a main color DK weight yarn and 16" circular knitting needles size US6 (or the size you need to achieve a gauge of a 1x1 rib unstretched where 4" = 30 sts x 28 rounds). Wild Hand will supply a fun variety of DK weight contrast color yarn options for the Intarsia sections as well as the pattern.
