Learn to use a Drop Spindle in this super fun beginner workshop! Have you always wanted to learn to make your own yarns but you're not quite ready to make the investment in a spinning wheel? Learn how to spin yarn using a drop spindle. It's fun, portable, affordable, and a great stepping stone for folks interested in learning how to spin yarn on a spinning wheel.

Skills + Materials
This is a beginner workshop and no previous experience is needed to participate. Workshop supplies are included in the fee; you will receive an Ashford Wheels & Looms Student Drop Spindle and plenty of fiber to play with during the workshop and at home!

Cancellation + Make-up Policy
We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your registration. You may always transfer your registration to another student (just let us know in advance!). If you need to cancel your registration within one week of the workshop we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund; cancellations made less than one week in advance will not be refunded. We are unable to offer make-ups or exchanges for missed workshop session(s).


Student Discount
Students get a one-time 10% student discount that is active at the first workshop session and expires two weeks following the final workshop session. You will receive your discount code at the first first session.

Theresa is a RN, Army veteran, and fiber artist from Newark, DE. She has been knitting since childhood and spinning since 2014. She is a local fiber dye artist and teaches knitting, spinning, crochet, fiber prep, and dyeing. Theresa is a regular contributor to PLY magazine's advisory board.
