About this experience
Learn the basics and what you need to begin dyeing your own yarn and fiber with the amazing Theresa Hill of Ewe-Nited States of Fiber (and also a member of our Wild Hand staff!). Create your own unique colorways - the possibilities are endless. These same techniques can be applied to dyeing yarn and protein fiber fabrics. Bring your creativity, questions, and color inspirations - we will supply the rest.
Workshop is a hands-on virtual workshop - you will be dyeing mini-skeins at home. All materials are included in the workshop fee but you will need access to a few household items - water, white vinegar (optional), measuring cup, plastic wrap, bowl or small bucket, and access to a microwave or a pot that can hold 4-5 glass pint jars.
This is a 2-SESSION workshop that meets all of the following dates (apologies for the confusion - our event booking app is working on making this clearer in the future!). By signing up for this workshop you are signing up for 5-hours of class over the following dates.
Thursday - OCT 22 // 6:30-9PM
Thursday - OCT 29 // 6:30-9PM
All classes meet virtually via Zoom. You will be provided with a link in advance of the workshop.
This is a beginner class - no previous skills required. Price includes thoughtfully sourced materials (no additional materials fees) that will be available for pick-up or delivery to you (locally via e-bike and otherwise via USPS - shipping costs are not included in class fee) in advance of the workshop. Students also get a one-time use 15% off discount card for use during and up to two weeks following the last class session.
