Learn how to print on fabric and paper with ink and handmade wood blocks, crafted in India by artisans working with teaching artist, Ritu Jadwani. Ritu is based in Ahmedabad, India (she recently moved from Philadelphia back to India) and will be teaching from there. We're over-the-moon to have Ritu bring this beautiful craft and supplies to Wild Hand.

During this workshop you will learn oh-so-much, including:

+ The significance of block printing.
+ How the blocks are made and used.
Techniques for using wood blocks on paper.
+ Techniques for using wood blocks on fabric.
+ Wood block care and maintenance.

This is an absolute beginner class with no previous skills required. All Wild Hand workshop students get a one-time 15% discount for use during and up to two weeks following the last class session.

Workshops meet virtually via Zoom - links and passcodes will arrive with your workshop order confirmation (you will receive a confirmation email for your full order and then separately an email with just workshop details).

Workshop registration includes the thoughtfully sourced materials that you need to participate - including a blank cotton tote, handmade paper, two wood blocks, and ink. Materials
will be available for contactless pick-up or delivery before the workshop start date. We happily ship worldwide and shipping costs are not included in the workshop fee. We will be in touch 2-3 weeks before your workshop begins about arranging to receive your workshop supply bundle.

Cancellation Policy :: We know and understand that schedules change! Wild Hand will happily offer a store credit refund for cancellations made a week or more in advance. For cancellations made less than a week in advance we can offer a 50% store credit refund. We do this so that we can still pay the teaching artist for your spot in the class.
