Did you ever wonder how cloth is made? Do you want to try your hand at weaving? If so, this is the perfect class for you! Experience the joy of weaving on a rigid heddle loom. The rigid heddle is a small, lightweight loom with a single heddle that makes warping and weaving easy. It’s the perfect way to start your weaving journey. Students will begin by learning the technique of warping a rigid heddle loom and will progress to the next step of weaving and completing a cowl. A choice fibers will be available in beautiful textures and colors - lots to play with and create a cowl. We will have rigid heddle looms for everyone to borrow and work with but you're welcome to bring your own if you have one. This is a beginner workshop and no experience is necessary. The fee includes all of the materials you need for the workshop, including a rigid heddle loom to borrow (that you can choose to buy at the end of the course using your student discount if you'd like!).

Workshops meet in-person indoors at Wild Hand. In order to create a safe, inclusive learning space we're asking all students, teaching artists, and staff to wear masks at all times while they are indoors. Wild Hand students get a one-time 15% off discount code for use during and up to two weeks following their last workshop session (you will receive the discount code at your workshop).

We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your workshop registration. We've done our best to create a cancellation policy that honors how fickle life can be alongside a commitment to our teaching artists. If you need to cancel your workshop registration we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund for cancellations made at least two weeks in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than two weeks in advance.
