About this experience
Jocelyn Tunney from O'Wool will join us for a presentation about O'Wool's organic yarns, local dye process (O'Wool is dyed next door in Germantown!), and their superwash process. We will have lots of yarn for squishing and buying (yarns and colorways that we don't usually have in the shop!).
O'Wool is based nearby in Mullica Hill, New Jersey and is a small company with the goal of providing fiber crafters with a yarn that is environmentally responsible, affordable, and made locally in Philadelphia and the USA.
This is a free event but space is limited so please RSVP.
All classes meet at our shop at 606 Carpenter Lane, Philadelphia PA 19119 - in the heart of Mt. Airy Village. There is plenty of free on-street parking as well as High Point Cafe and Weaver's Way Co-op steps away for your food and beverage needs. Kiddos are always welcome to hang in the shop!
CANCELLATION POLICY // Wild Hand is happy to offer a full refund for cancellations made a week or more in advance. For cancellations made less than a week in advance we can offer a full store credit refund.
O'Wool owner, Jocelyn J. Tunney, has a BS in Studio Art with a concentration in fiber arts, printmaking and painting. She moved to Philadelphia and worked towards a Master's degree in Textile Design & Engineering. She became the Associate Director of Fairmount Fibers, the distributor of Manos del Uruguay yarns in the USA as well as took over O-Wool and put to good use the insanely technical knowledge she gained in graduate school. Fiber, yarn and fabric fascinate Joceyln in a completely inexplicable way (if you're reading this, you are probably in the same boat), and O-Wool provides her the opportunity to pair fiber with a passion for animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
