Lace Knitting
Lace Knitting
Learn what it means to knit lace. During the workshop you will learn the techniques used in knitting lace items as well as as how to understand and work with lace structure and charts. This is a beyond beginner workshop - students should have basic knitting skills including how to cast on, bind off, knit, and purl. The workshop fee includes all of the yarn, needles, and notions to complete a lace shawl project. During the workshop students will create a small lace shawl following a pattern designed by teaching artist, Theresa Hill, using a super soft merino and suri alpaca fingering weight yarn from our local friends at Kelbourne Woolens. As you register for the workshop you will have an opportunity to select your yarn color.

Workshops meet in-person indoors at Wild Hand. In order to create a safe, inclusive learning space we're asking all students, teaching artists, and staff to wear masks at all times while they are indoors. Wild Hand students get a one-time 15% off discount code for use during and up to two weeks following their last workshop session (you will receive the discount code at your workshop).

We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your workshop registration. We've done our best to create a cancellation policy that honors how fickle life can be alongside a commitment to our teaching artists. If you need to cancel your workshop registration we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund for cancellations made at least two weeks in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than two weeks in advance.
