Learn kumihimo - the traditional Japanese art form of making braids and cords. Literally meaning "gathered threads", kumihimo are made by interlacing reels of yarn, thread, or silk using a round disc-style loom. Ropes and braids are super functional and beautiful finishing items for your fiber craft projects. This is a beginner workshop and no experience is necessary. The workshop fee includes two different tools and plenty of thread and yarn for experimenting.

Workshops meet in-person indoors at Wild Hand. In order to create a safe, inclusive learning space we're asking all students, teaching artists, and staff to wear masks at all times while they are indoors. Wild Hand students get a one-time 15% off discount code for use during and up to two weeks following their last workshop session (you will receive the discount code at your workshop).

We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your workshop registration. We've done our best to create a cancellation policy that honors how fickle life can be alongside a commitment to our teaching artists. If you need to cancel your workshop registration we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund for cancellations made at least two weeks in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than two weeks in advance.
