Join Jake Kenyon, Owner & Dyer of Kenyarn, at Wild Hand for a special Coven Kerchief Cast-on Party. We will have snacks and drinks and your Foggy Aran skeins ready-to-knit. Spend come time getting to know Jake and start this quick, fun project together! You'll also be able to shop Jake's Traveling Trunk Show in between stitches and sips.
The Coven Kerchief (seen here in a sweet yellow) was deigned by Jake with his lovely Foggy Aran base in mind. It is a simple, isosceles triangle shawl constructed with a simple lace repeat. The kerchief is light, breathable, with perfect drape for a singular wrap around your neck. The Coven Kerchief is perfect for mindless knitting and can be worked up in semi-solid aran weight yarns (sample shown here is in Kenyarn’s bespoke base Foggy Aran in the colourway Revenge).
Skills & Materials
Your workshop fee includes two skeins of Jake's Foggy Aran base, which is a delightful blend of 70% Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Finely Spun Alpaca, and 10% Polyamide (in the colorway of your choice). You'll be asked to specify your colors in the survey at check-out. You will also receive the pattern. Students will BYO needles (size requirements will be in your registration confirmation). This is a beyond beginner workshop and basic knitting skills are required (cast-on, knit stitch, purl stitch) - some experience with increasing and decreasing is helpful.
Cancellation + Make-up Policy
We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your registration. We've done our best to create a cancellation policy that honors how fickle life can be alongside our financial commitment to our staff and teaching artists. If you need to cancel your registration we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund for cancellations made two weeks in advance of your workshop date. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than two weeks in advance. We are also unable to offer make-ups or exchanges for missed workshops.
Community Commitment
We're looking forward to sharing space with you! If you haven't had a chance to read our Community Commitment, pop over to the website and read about how we agree to share space. Feel free to reach out to the shop if you have any questions along the way - we're excited to welcome you wherever you may be on the learning curve.
