Knit your first sweater with hands-on support from Theresa Hill from the Wild Hand team!

10/18 & 10/25 & 11/1 | 6:30PM-8:30PM

Sweater classes with Theresa Hill of Ewe-Nited States of Fiber are becoming a tradition here at Wild Hand - folks email us year-round to know when the next one will be! We are over-the-moon to be teaching the James Jumper from our go-to beginner (and beyond beginner!) book Knit How from Pom Pom Publishing. This sweet, all-gender, size-inclusive design is a super way to take the leap and make your first sweater. We truly adore this design - and when you register for the workshop, you get the whole book of deisgns, tutorials, and techniques! With Theresa by your side, you've got this! During the workshop, students will learn how to read and follow the pattern, working step-by-step to make this lovely pullover sweater knit from the top-down. The pattern is worked with worsted weight yarn and we're recommending a local favorite from Kelbourne Woolens - Scout. Images from Pom Pom Publishing's KNIT HOW book (your copy is included in the workshop fee!!).

Skills + Materials
This is a beginner+/intermediate knitting workshop. Students should have solid basic knitting skills (cast-on, knit stitch, purl stitch, increase, decrease, and bind-off). The workshop fee includes the Knit How book and notions. Students are responsible for the yarn and needles. We will send reccomendations for yarn/supplies in the confirmation email after you register for the workshop.

COVID Policy
In order to create a safe, inclusive learning space we're asking that all students, teaching artists, and staff wear masks at all times while they are indoors as well as show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test.

Cancellation + Make-up Policy
We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your registration. We've done our best to create a cancellation policy that honors how fickle life can be alongside our financial commitment to our staff and teaching artists. If you need to cancel your registration we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund for cancellations made two weeks in advance of your workshop date. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than two weeks in advance. We are also unable to offer make-ups or exchanges for missed workshops.

Community Commitment
We're looking forward to sharing space with you! If you haven't had a chance to read our Community Commitment, pop over to the website and read about how we agree to share space. Feel free to reach out to the shop if you have any questions along the way - we're excited to welcome you wherever you may be on the learning curve.
