About this experience
Learn the basics of cable knitting by making the oh-so cozy Simcoe Headband from knitting designers Good Night Day. Together we will tackle basic cable construction, as well as provisional cast-on, and three needle bind-off/or Kitchener stitch. Participants should already know how to knit, purl, cast-on, and bind-off. Oh, and each student will get to pick a skein of the softest most lovely hand-dyed single ply bulky merino from the fine folks at Lichen and Lace.
This is a (slightly) beyond beginner class - students should know how to knit and purl. Price includes thoughtfully sourced materials (no additional materials fees) - one skein of hand-dyed single ply bulky merino from the folks at Lichen and Lace (you get to pick your color!) as well as the needles and accessories needed to complete your headband. Students also get a one-time use 15% off discount card for use during and up to two weeks following the last class session!
All classes meet at our shop at 606 Carpenter Lane, Philadelphia PA 19119 - in the heart of Mt. Airy Village. There is plenty of free on-street parking as well as High Point Cafe and Weaver's Way Co-op steps away for your food and beverage needs. Kiddos are always welcome to hang in the shop!
