Beginner Hand Embroidery (virtual)
This product is currently sold out.
This is a virtual workshop that meets over Zoom. This beginner workshop covers the basics of embroidery, including how to get started and some of the most fun, common stitches as well as tips and tricks. Students can use our go-to Original Drop Cloth sampler from Rebecca Ringquist or work from a blank cloth to guide your work. In either case you'll be left with a charming sampler at the end of the workshop. During the three-week workshop you will learn about selecting and working with thread, threading needles for embroidery, setting up a hoop, how to do fifteen different hand embroidery stitches, and tying off threads and finishing.
This is a beginner workshop and there is no previous experience needed to participate. The workshop fee does not include materials. For this workshop you will need Rebecca Ringquist's Original Drop Cloth Sampler or a 12" piece of cotton fabric, 6" or 8" embroidery hoop, thread, needles, a water erasable marker, and snips/scissors, scrap paper, and markers. If you'd like to buy your materials through Wild Hand we will gladly ship them. If you're local you can stop by the shop or select Local Pick-up at check-out.
