In this follow-on workshop to the Beginner Drop Spindle (and for folks who are ready to expand their drop spindle skills) you will learn what to do after you have spun yarn on a drop spindle and filled the shaft as well as playing techniques. Using a drop spindle is fun, portable, affordable, and a great stepping stone for folks interested in learning how to spin yarn on a spinning wheel. Working with a drop spindle helps you get the feel for drafting the fiber. This is a beyond beginner workshop - students should have a drop spindle filled with handspun yarn for the workshop. The workshop fee includes an Ashford Wheels and Looms niddy noddy and some fiber to play with.

Workshops meet in-person indoors at Wild Hand. In order to create a safe, inclusive learning space we're asking all students, teaching artists, and staff to wear masks at all times while they are indoors. Wild Hand students get a one-time 15% off discount code for use during and up to two weeks following their last workshop session (you will receive the discount code at your workshop).

We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your workshop registration. We've done our best to create a cancellation policy that honors how fickle life can be alongside a commitment to our teaching artists. If you need to cancel your workshop registration we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund for cancellations made at least two weeks in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than two weeks in advance.
