Beginner Crochet (virtual)
This is a virtual workshop that meets over Zoom. Learn the basics of crochet from the Wild Hand team! This is a monthly learn-to-crochet workshop where your teaching artist will go over the basic stitches. You're welcome to join us once or make it a monthly thing. This is a great way to (re)learn how to crochet in a welcoming virtual space. All ages (generally we find that kiddos age 6+ do best learning to crochet) are welcome to join us and start their crochet journey.
This is a beginner workshop and there is no previous experience needed to participate. The workshop fee does not include materials. For this workshop you will need yarn and a crochet hook. We offer FREE yarn and hooks (while we have supplies) through our Little Free Fiber Library. We recommend a worsted, chunky, or bulky weight yarn (also known as a size 4-6 in some brands) and a I9-Q crochet hook. If you'd like to buy your materials through Wild Hand we will gladly ship them. If you're local you can stop by the shop or select Local Pick-up at check-out. Below is a list of workshop supply ideas from our shop.
Lykke Crochet Hook
Germantown or Germantown Unicorns
Ranger Merino Bulky
Merino No. 5 (use w/ Q Hook)
This is a virtual workshop that meets over Zoom. Workshops are recorded and available to students for 30 days following the workshop session. We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your registration. We've done our best to create a cancellation policy that honors how fickle life can be alongside a commitment to our staff and teaching artists. If you need to cancel your registration we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund for cancellations made at least two weeks in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than two weeks in advance.
